I started Propelrco for the same reason a lot of you or your founders started your businesses—because I see a gap that isn’t being filled and I'm confident I can do something about it.
The truth is, as a business owner or leader, you’re not exactly lacking attention. The emails, the sales calls, the LinkedIn messages—they never stop. I’ve been there too. But when it comes to real help—when you’re trying to grow, anticipate transition, or tackle a challenge you’ve never seen before—that’s where help seems thin.
When your business is growing fast or heading into new territory—whether it’s an expansion, an anticipated transition, an acquisition, or just plain leveling up—you and your team only have so much bandwidth. And sometimes you’re figuring things out for the first time. These realities might push you to consider looking at outside help.
That’s where I believe Propelrco comes in. I’ve spent my career rolling up my sleeves, helping leaders like you integrate and improve operations across a variety of industries. What I learned is that most outside advisors focus on the specific need, the transaction, or their slice of the work. They’re not really built to help you run the business better outside of "the deal." And the reality is, a lot of them have no idea what it’s like to actually sit in your chair.
We have extreme respect for the lawyers, bankers, brokers, and accountants who help you with key parts of your business. They’re essential, and we love working with them. That's especially true when their expertise is needed for transactions. But managing change, growing a business and creating long-term value takes a different approach. Here’s how we work:
We’re hands-on, not hands-off. Our two programs are designed to look at your business the way you do—across the whole operation. We try not to spend too much time in a boardroom looking at PowerPoints. We come to your sites, see what’s really going on, and work to understand how it really gets done. There’s only so much you can learn from a spreadsheet or a Zoom call.
We put our money where our mouth is. Most consultants bill by the hour or based on the size of a deal. That works for them—but it doesn’t always work for you. We think performance-based fees make more sense. For example, with our ACCELERATE System, you’ll pay 1/3 upfront, and the rest only if we both agree that the plan we build can deliver at least 10X the fee in real business impact.
We act like partners, not vendors. Our goal is long-term partnership. In some cases, that means shared ownership down the road. Even when that’s not possible, we approach our work like we’re on the same side of the table, driving toward your goals.
If this sounds like the kind of help you’re looking for, let’s have a conversation. And if you’re wondering who we’re a good fit for, check out The FIT Test.
